REPORT: Brentford eye potential replacement for Raya
Brentford are eyeing goalkeeper Mark Flekken as a possible replacement for United-linked David Raya, according to FreiburgThe sun.
Raya has been heavily linked with a move from Brentford after admitting he turned down two contract offers from the Bees. The 27-year-old will enter the final 12 months of his current contract in the summer and could be sold, with Thomas Frank admitting he will be difficult to keep.
United and Tottenham have been linked with a move for Raya, with both potentially eyeing successors to their aging current No 1s. David de Gea has months left on his contract at Old Trafford but is expected to land a new short-term deal.
That being said, Erik ten Hag is keen to add a new goalkeeper who can handle his feet better and Raya no doubt fits into the picture.

Newcastle gets a quadruple boost
Newcastle have resumed Sven Botman, Nick Pope, Allan Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson in training ahead of this weekend's meeting with United.
Botman has been questionable since returning from international duty with the Netherlands due to illness, while Pope also retired from international duty with England after a 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest with an unspecified injury.
Saint-Maximin was substituted off at half-time in that clash with strains in his hamstring, while Wilson missed the trip entirely after coming on as a substitute against Wolves the previous week. The 31-year-old had hardly trained in the two weeks before the international break.
All three were spotted in training along with Botman and the rest of their Newcastle team-mates on Wednesday, with their availability likely for Sunday's United welcome.

OPINION: Ronaldo shot shows why United are chasing Hojlund
The United boss has also regularly insisted he will not jump for any player for his own sake and will not just "burn money". His targets are carefully chosen. Hojlund is not his top destination at the moment but could be if the summer doesn't go to plan. Hojlund won't be first choice and he won't be the answer to United's woes but his mindset will appeal to Ten Hag and as fallback options he would make a decent addition to a growing squad in need of varied attacking options.

Sir Alex: "Van Persie gave us the title in 2012/13"
On the occasion of his induction into the Premier League Hall of Fame, Sir Alex Ferguson spoke about his last season at United.
The club icon explained when he decided to make his final bow and how the marquee signing of Robin van Persie was the key wheel in the 2012/13 title-winning machine.
"I had decided in December I was going to retire and only [my wife] Cathy knew it and the boys knew it. We kept it a secret because I wanted to win the Premier League and it was great to come out with a winner.
"To be honest, I think signing [Robin] van Persie gave us the league this season with his 29 goals. He was fantastic.
"He was that push in the last third of the field and the goal he scored through Wayne Rooney's pass against Aston Villa to win the league, you couldn't have scored a better goal."

Richard Fey
'United may not be able to take a transfer risk'
"United's need for a proven goalscorer is so great that they should still be able to fund a high-profile move for Kane or Osimhen, but they may not have as much cash to bolster other positions so they may quit need other plans.
“There is an argument that they need to bring another striker to their side to help them in the long term, but it is difficult to justify such a move when there are more pressing issues for midfield support and defence.
"United Hierarchy would also have the right to point out that they could solve their problems by not signing two forwards this summer, but adding one and also getting more goals from their outsiders."

OPINION: United have a bigger problem than Ten Hag admits
Erik ten Hag insisted Manchester United would do without Casemiro but the truth is they barely made it.
Were it not for Fulham's chaotic implosion last time out, they would have been knocked out of the FA Cup and have had very few complaints about it.
It's only natural that every side would miss a player of this quality, but it was really alarming to see the extent to which United were largely outplayed at home against a midfield team.
